A Personal Note –

Should you wish to buy any of my books, then may I suggest that you put an order in with an independent bookshop? They’re the life and soul of the book trade, pay tax in the country they’re selling in, and are generally the intellectual heart of any community they set up in. I moved all my book buying over to them a while back, and have felt much better about life ever since; my hair has more lustre, there’s a spring in my step, and I may even live longer because of it. All of these advantages can be yours – just shop independent.

I do my personal shopping at Page 45 in Nottingham for comics, and Mr B’s in Bath for novels, and am also very fond of Gosh Comics in London, Max Minerva’s Marvellous Books in Bristol, Beerwolf Books in Falmouth, and John Sandoe Books in London, amongst many, many, others, but there are fabulous ones everywhere. They pretty much all do mail order, and you’re making the world a better place.

You can use the list here at Hive.co.uk to find the great majority of them, and either order direct (which is closer to godliness) or buy via Hive and the bookshop will get a percentage. (I’d buy direct, you get to communicate with actual people that way, and they keep a lot more of the money)

Honourable mention here to Waterstones – of which I’m also a lifetime customer – keeping it real for the high street, and also worthy of your pennies.

Apparently, there is another site online where you can buy our books and their digital versions, but I’ll be damned if I can remember the name…
